Our animal hospital provides outstanding care by expert veterinarians to birds, exotic pets, pocket pets and emergency pet care after hours to dogs, cat, exotic pets, and birds. What’s an exotic pet? If it has feathers or claws, we consider it exotic! Our team is trained in screening these very special pets for common diseases, as well as administering advanced care like surgery and dentistry to help unique animals with unique needs live longer, and healthier lives. We serve the greater Chicago area and are located in Elmwood Park.

SO greatful for this clinic! My gerbil injured her tail and they were able to get her in for an ER visit. The doctor, technicians and receptionists were all very compassionate and helpful - I felt like my little one was in great hands in their care. I recommend them for anyone with exotics!

This was the FOURTH vet clinic I tried when my big tortoise got sick. The staff was very helpful and showed me how to give treatments at home to a not so cooperative patient. They sent me home with many resources to get my boy healthy and keep him that way.

Everyone is so nice & pleasant! Awesome experience! The best place to take your exotic animals. I've had my parrot 37 yrs with chronic issues & have been going to them that long. They treated my guinea pigs as well. They sincerely care & do their best to treat the animals & explain things so you understand. Very caring. Thank you for compassionate care!

I would recommend Midwest Bird and Exotic Animal Hospital 10/10! They provided very prompt service for my dog, who was hit by a car. They were able to accommodate her quickly. Every staff member was an expert and gave us a lot of reassurance. I give them five stars for compassion and service. Thank you all very much for taking excellent care of my baby!

It is hard to find professional institutions that care so deeply about such small critters like geckos, but Midwest Bird and Exotic knows their reptiles! They saved my little girl from a bad mouth infection and I could not be more grateful to their ease of care and level of professionalism. Thank you for taking care of my babies, but also giving me peace of mind!
